In January 2018, he tweeted "One more year."

During his first season in 2016, Weber ran for over 1,000 yards for Ohio State with nine touchdowns.

His second-year production was cut significantly due to a hamstring injury and the play of freshman running back J.K. Dobbins during his absence.

In his sophomore year, Weber did finish with 10 touchdowns on 626 yards.

This season, he has 858 rushing yards and five touchdowns heading into the Rose Bowl.
