COLUMBUS -- The case has been dismissed against a man accused of kidnapping and raping a young man who later took his own life.

Dwight Orr, Jr., was charged with raping 18-year-old Garon Hall in April.

Hall took his own life two months later. The prosecution said it no longer had enough evidence to proceed.

10TV spoke to Hall’s mother, Terri Olmedo, said she felt the system failed her son. She had a message for Orr.

“You’re a monster, and you don’t deserve to be walking free. You don’t deserve to be out in the world, and I hope that he doesn't hurt anyone again."

The court said if there is more evidence, they can bring the case back to trial.
