COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will not be with the team for Thursday night’s game against the Nashville Predators, Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced.

While he did not cite a specific reason, Kekalainen did say Bobrovsky failed to meet the team’s values and expectations during an incident that occured.

“There are certain expectations and values that we have established for our players that define our culture,” Kekalainen said. “An incident occurred in which Sergei failed to meet those expectations and values, so we made the decision that he would not be with the team for tonight’s game. This is an internal matter and we will have no further comment at this time.”

The Blue Jackets face off against the Predators at Nationwide Arena at 7 p.m.
